Wilted Flowers
November 16th, 2009 by Michael WeaverVery soon, if they have not already, memorials will go up alongside the road in Laie for Waika Carvalho. Friends will gather to mourn the loss of a life taken far too soon. I join in that mourning. I share in that sorrow. All I ask is that young people remember one thing: Life is fleeting! You are not immortal! Honor your friend by your actions in the days and weeks to come. Don’t push the envelope. Don’t roll the dice. Friends, like flowers by the road, die.
